Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is something I’ve always admired. They were founded in 2000 after merging the creative spirit of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. Over the years, they have become a worldwide designer brand with flagship stores worldwide, and it’s one that many fashion lovers are drawn to.
I’ve followed Golden Goose for ages and I would often browse the selection at FarFetch, as they always had an curated selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always thought they were quite expensive and seemed too close in style to Converse, so they were always on my mental wishlist. A few years earlier, Adam was the one who first got into the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what made me pay more attention. Seeing his pair up close and noticing that no two pairs are alike because they’re artisanal, I was even more curious. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are deliberately worn-looking and made to appear vintage, they are all hand done so there’s no two pairs alike. Some have heavier wear than others, so the variation is wide.
